It would appear that summer is officially over….Morris lit the fire last night!
Our next Branch Business Meeting is on Saturday 25th October, 12.30 at The Post Inn, Whiddon Down
I’m really looking forward to seeing you there. We have quite a few issues to discuss, for instance voting for your Champion Beer of Britain. You will have received an email from Nik Antona telling you how important this is and how easy it is to do.
Also I am taking bookings for our Branch Festive Lunch on
Saturday 29th November 12.00 for 12.30 at The Red Lion, Exbourne – our Pub Of The Year
Places are limited, but there are a few left. All members and their guests are welcome. Please let me know if you would like to book a place.
As usual I have attached an updated copy of our Branch Information Update. There are several new items arranged by your Branch which are worth noting:
a young members social – contact Matt Collins – firstname.lastname@example.org and
a pub crawl – contact Mark Partridge – email@example.com
We have several pubs in our branch threatened with closure and their local communities are working hard to keep them open. Our Pubs Officer Coordinator, Bob Goddard, has been very active in offering support and advice. Local papers and parish magazines usually contain details of meeting etc.
I have been asked to get more Branch polo shirts for members to purchase – I currently have a limited stock of items with our branch logo embroidered on. These items can be purchased at Branch meetings. If you would like to order anything – burgundy polo shirt, blue rugby shirt, black fleece, please let me know your requirements and size. I will then make up an order and can either post it to you or even better give it to you at a meeting! These items make great Christmas presents! I also have a small supply of rather nice pens, bottle openers and lapel badges from CamRA which would fit into a Christmas Stocking very easily!! All items available at branch meetings.
